Exclamation Which generic trem arm for Edge?

Hi, I was looking at cheaper alternatives to the original Edge arm since I lost mine.

Would something like this work? Or what would the specifications of the arm have to be like, thanks.

Regards

Wait so why wont they? The edge bar is 6mm diameter as well from what I've read so whats the deal ? The lack of a penis shaped end? Why is that an issue?

Or Rich maybe you know? Thanks

Why, because it also fits 5mm and 5.5mm openings. This equates to wiggle room and a loose fitting bar. The penis thing on the end is for the snap spring that holds the original bar in place. Buy the correct bar, but don't lose it this time.

because its the wrong damn bar. Don't ask for advice then refute it, thats just rude as hell. Edge bars ALSO have bushings that hold them in place, so its a little more then 6mm for the input diameter. that 5mm bar wont fit at all, youre better off sticking a screw driver in the hole and calling it good.

And this guy is in Michigan, and the biggest rip off on ebay, with the bar costing $8 more, and the shipping $5 more.

Re: Which generic trem arm for Edge?

You're just not looking, it's a loose bar with no bushings [because he sells those for $8], and his International shipping is $9 instead of $4.

Never recommend anything that guy sells, it's always 2-4 times what it should sell for anywhere else.

Re: Which generic trem arm for Edge?

It comes with the 2 on the bar, just not the 2 spare in the factory pack. The loose bars are out of broken up trem kits.

Re: Which generic trem arm for Edge?

The who doesn't matter [as long as it's not the ebay rip off], buy the correct bar. If you're so cheap you're looking to save a dollar and get something that only partially works, then you'll end up doing the same with car maintenance, then house maintenance, and when everything falls apart because you wanted to save $1, you loose far more than what the right piece would have cost to begin with. Life lessons.
