Re: gold lo-pro bridge turning green
I have a gold lo-pro on my rg550.I wipe the
trem down every time I get done. I wiil say this,
The gold on the 6th sting saddle and by the knife edge
wore down in about 8 months. I don't have real acidy sweat
so my guess woul be that the gold finish is just thin.
My recomedation would be to take the bridge totaly apart
and take it to a gold plater. I have a Artist AR350 Super Edition
that came with a edge trem. The bridge was in rough shape so
I took it to a gold plating place. It cost me about $100-$125 to get it done.
Now, that might be a little expensive BUT I should never have
to wory about the finish coming off.And it looks great!!
