i think there's no much to do to fix the thing.
just give it a nice wipe with a soft dry cloth after you ended playing.

Do you keep it in a moisty cellar or something? Or your bedroom? Sounds like oxidation by humidity...not too god for the entire axe.

The gold on my Les Paul does the same things on the bridge from my hand resting on it. Daily cleaning after playing is the only true way to help it as Gibson recommends and I'm sure Ibanez also. When I do a thorough cleaning maybe once a year, I use a hard pick(1+mm plastic) and scrape at it then wipe it clean. On my guitar it looks like the green has come through from the metal underneath as the gold wore off.

Re: gold lo-pro bridge turning green

I have a gold lo-pro on my rg550.I wipe the
trem down every time I get done. I wiil say this,
The gold on the 6th sting saddle and by the knife edge
wore down in about 8 months. I don't have real acidy sweat
so my guess woul be that the gold finish is just thin.

My recomedation would be to take the bridge totaly apart
and take it to a gold plater. I have a Artist AR350 Super Edition
that came with a edge trem. The bridge was in rough shape so
I took it to a gold plating place. It cost me about $100-$125 to get it done.
Now, that might be a little expensive BUT I should never have
to wory about the finish coming off.And it looks great!!
