gotta fix some chips on my UV! how should i do it?

got a Uv7bk, and some nasty chips has occured on it.
they aren't large (1,5 cm at the most in length), and it's straight
down to the wood, no air has come underneath the chip/crack.

can i fix this myself?

thought about nailpolish.....
