My guitar has fallen off my stand twice, once it turned and fall with the back of the neck towards the ground, and the other day in a freak accident, my case slide off the wall, smacked the stands a bit, and then the guitar fell forward and hit the case at the base of the neck...
Anyway, my question is, how can I tell if my guitar/neck has been damaged at all? This guitar is an RGT42, neck thru, 5 piece maple/walnut neck.
If it's now a bolt on, then it was damaged. If it doesn't show any cracks, chips, and all hardware works, as well as stays in tune, than it's probably ok. Get your self a better stand, try a hercules stand they lock the neck in place. I am thinking about maybe getting that guitar, how is it. details! chef21
my G&L bass fell off the rack at the guitar shop from like the 7th row up and landed with other guitars and basses, it is perfectly fine other than some dings in the back. (got me 1k off the original price). So I think your guitar should be fine, even though this bass is like a tank hah
If the guitar still feels the same, and stays in tune, you are probably in luck, but for goodness sake, at least get a stand that locks the neck in place! Neck Throughs can be repaired like any other guitar, but you really don't want to be gluing the neck back together!
or use the ones I use, the german ones that I can't think of the name that are anti falling over unless you like kick it on purpose
