How do I gauge the trem base plate angle?

I've been working on the setup of my RG520QS, and doing my damndest to get the thing parallel. I know it's the bottom of the base plate that needs to be parallel- but on my guitar, the bottom of the base plate is not really visible as it's recessed into the tremolo cavity. How can you tell that it's as parallel as possible?

Re: How do I gauge the trem base plate angle?

I use the knife edge slots on the side. They are parallel to the base, and will be pretty accurate.
