Re: How do I lower the action on my S520ex?

There are two allen screws. One on each side of the bridge. Turn clockwise to lower.

Also check your neck relief.

A lot people start by lowering the bridge when actually the truss rod needs to be adjusted.

BTW...string gauge and tuning is going to determine tension.

Adjust the truss and don't expect to get deadly low action w/out buzz. If you have a fairly light touch you MIGHT be able to get sick low but otherwise stay just a tad on the higher side and enjoy the tone.

if you arn't sure do nothing. It is what governs how much bow or how straight the neck is. If you adjust it too much you might never get it to go fully straight, or you might make it warp too. Take it to a tech or go and buy this book...

Go here and read 5,6,and7 at least.......better yet read them all. This is the best guitar info out there.

I said if you loosen or tighten the truss too much it can warp. not that it is warped.

If you find it doesn't work well on your neck then you have to do it all over again to get back to square one. I think if you do all the adjustments from Ibanezrules correctly you will get as good of action as you need.
