How to make my guitar look good.... - ...or not...

I have an Universe 777 Bk as a "main" guitar. It looks, feels and plays great, so there is not need for a modification.

But, i have an axe i call the "Crap Guitar" which is a Squier Stratocaster. I really want to change the look of that guitar (it has a light yellow body and maple neck).

I thought about buying some golden "wrapping paper" (pfff, don't know the right word...see GERMANS! ;-) * ) and paste it on the whole body, so that it is wrapped in gold.
This might look great, but i wonder which is the best way to get the paper stick to the body. Should i use normal paste?

Or somebody got a better idea for a new guitar look ?

How to make my guitar look good....

I considered the same thing for my "crap" guitar. *While I was in Washington DC once at the space center, I bought an insulated sheet, thermo blanket thingy for camping. *It cost only about 10 dollars and is thin like aluminum foil and comes in a 6 foot square size. *Its silver on one side and gold on the other. *I didnt want to take the time to work the wrinkles out though. *I would suggest using a spray adhesive for artists right on the guitar, and then you can smooth out the kinks on the already flat body, kinda like laying linolium on a new floor.
I dont have any practical advise though, because like I said, I never actually followed thru with it.

I actually tried the lighter fluid and a match to my crap guitar and it turned out pretty cool. Pick your colors, lay them on thick and sloppy and then put a flame to it.

How would that work out with a plywood body though? I have a Kramer Focus for messing around with - I've already scalloped the frets and shielded inside of the pickguard so a burnt look sounds cool - except it's plywood...

How about you glue a bunch of naked Barbie dolls all over the guitar body.
