Ibanez RG320DXQM trem replacement?

I've got an oldish mid-range Ibanez RG 320 DXQM. I've replaced the pickups, and now the only thing holding it back is the trem system. Lo-Trs II bridge sucks, worn out long ago, and doesn't keep itself at the zero point. I've been told that an Original Floyd Rose, Gotoh Floyd Rose, or (maybe Schaller FR) will fit, but I don't want to invest in one until I'm 100% sure what to buy. Here are links to where to buy the three, can someone tell me which will work?

Hopefully Gotoh works? It's least expensive.

The SEARCH tool will unveil a plethora of Information on swapping out the LO-TRS II trem.

Have a look further down the first page of the tech section to the RG470 trem replacement thread. There's a ton of info there.

OFL and Gotoh will fit. i would get the Gotoh, it has locking posts and a brass block. You will have to remove the original trem anchors and drill the holes out a little to install the locking anchors and posts. If you decide to use the originals you can sell the locking post/anchor set for about 40 bucks.

Re: Ibanez RG320DXQM trem replacement?

I've got an option for a nut to come with it, asks me for a radius.. I measure 1 11/16" width on my nut, does that seem right? The 1 5/8" nut is no extra charge. I may have just measured long. Also, is there any reason not to use my existing nut?

Re: Ibanez RG320DXQM trem replacement?

Again, did you go and read the thread I pointed you to? All the info is there.

Again as I (and others) said in that thread, stick with the Ibanez nut. If it's worn get a new one, or use the pads from the nut provided with the trem.

Seriously, go read the RG 470 trem replacement thread further down the first page. EVERYTHING you would want to know is there, as well as many other threads posted on this site. USE the SEARCH.
