Ibanez RGIB6 Baritone and string gauges
Hello all. Before I begin I apologize in advance if this a dumb question, I just not really sure. Noob all the way when it comes to this stuff...
Anyways, I have an Ibanez RGIB6 baritone (28" scale tuned to B) which I absolutely love. It comes standard with .14 gauge strings, which I understand that's what this guitar is designed for and whatnot. But damn those are huge and they're just murder on my hands. So my question is this...is there any harm to putting lighter gauge strings on this guitar, such as .11's or even .10's? I understand intonation will have to be adjusted etc, but is there any harm that could happen to the neck itself? Warping issues, etc?
Thanks for any input and sorry again if this is a stupid question lol.
