Level Edge?

Looking for a way to make sure trem is always level.Especially since my set-up on some guitars has the knife edges below the top of the body, the usual way I set the trem is the knife edge is parallel to the top....As in pic,you can't see them so I'm looking for ideas for how to keep trem where it's supposed to be.

Re: Level Edge?

I may be wrong, but I think the top of the saddle should be parallel to the body. I, however, don't worry having my trems *perfectly* aligned, some minor difference is acceptable, and it won't drive me paranoid.

Re: Level Edge?

If your trem is that low, I'd suggest that you need to shim the neck. You won't get full trem movement.

Re: Level Edge?

I would say the one in the picture is pretty darn close... close enough for me. I agree that the top of the saddle should be flat. I can see my knife edges and they look to be parallel to the top of the saddles.

Re: Level Edge?

on each side of the tremolo wings, there is a tiny block, use that as the indicator as leveling.
the block must be level paralel to the body.
