Unhappy Lo Pro Edge Intonation

Hi, I've been setting up my RG 550 LTD PT and the only way I can get the intonation correct is to move the low e saddle quite far back, further than my other lo pro edge equipped guitars. This seems unusual, but its the only way I can get it right. Any ideas or suggestions?

Re: Lo Pro Edge Intonation

Are you intonating your guitar with a brand new set of strings?? Also, check to see if your pickups are too high and if they're causing too much string pull. I've had strange problems like that before and it took forever to figure out.

(What's even stranger is that I've had guitars intonate perfectly at two different points at the extreme opposite of each other!! Excessing magnet pull can puts your intonation to $#!T sometimes)

Thumbs up Re: Lo Pro Edge Intonation

They both have good points, make sure you check every possibility; to be honest, Buddroyce seems to have experience, try to get it as close to your other guitars as possible without losing correct innotation, this will give you a more comfortable and familiar playing experience

Re: Lo Pro Edge Intonation

Yea I'm using new fresh strings, and I at first tried to match another lo pro edge guitar. I guess even if the saddles are in different positions from another guitar, it doest matter so much if the intonation is right i guess it just looks different. I'll check the pickups too though.
