Locking nut screw holes, drill them before or after shaping?
I'm currently making a guitar neck that will be for a guitar that is going to have an edge trem installed. I just have a quick question about the nut screw holes that go through the neck so you can fasten the double lock nut assembly.
Is it best to drill the holes before or after neck shaping?? And can someone give me the right drill bit size (for brad point bits) to use for both the long allen screws and the "bigger hole" where the washer will fit, located under the neck??
I would assume that one should drill the holes before neck shaping because it's easier to do it while the piece is flat.
Thanks in advance!
