Mai Guitars and Bobby's project

I just ordered a front route JEM body from Chris @ Mai Guitars. We exchanged a bunch of emails before the order and I have to say, he's a really stand-up guy! Extremely helpful and really knows what he's talking about.

I'm super excited about this project and I'm sure I'll be going back to Chris for more stuff.

Check him out at

Re: Mai Guitars

I asked my 4 year old girl to help me pick out colors for my new project and this is what she came up with. I think she understands JEM's better than I do.

She probably does. She watches my old Ninja Turtles videos like crazy. I agree, it's a killer color combo.

Though I'm thinking of a classier look with a white and tan swirl. We'll see once I start in on collecting parts.

 I guess I didn't have my listening ears on. That's a really gorgeous swirl.

Anybody seen one done with white and cream? I'd like to try that with gold hardware. Kind of a swirl JEM7V.

I kinda get your thought, I have something on the same lines for the future, but I was thinking a white and gold swril with gold hardware.

Yeah, definitely gold hardware. I mad3e this up on PS yesterday. Not sure about the aged plastics, but it's a start. I'm actually curious if metal flake can be added to the enamels for the borax method.
