Modifying A Neck - Making it better to fit smaller hands??

My girlfriend has picked up guitar for the first time, and found a really great guitar for what she payed. Anyway she has trouble playing because the neck is to big for her small hands. So she picked up my Wolfgang and loved the neck on it! Much easier for her. Now how can I modify the neck on hers to make it like the Wolfgangs? I was thinking of just sanding it down, but the thickness looks no different than the Wolfgangs but you can tell the difference! Please help me??? Thx......

The wolfgangs actually have much thicker necks than most guitars. *The difference lies in the string spacing and, to a lesser extent, the radius. *The wolfgang necks are about .1" thicker than the standard Ibanez neck...

If you compare the string spacing (especially the distance from Low E to High E) you'll see that the wolfgang neck is MUCH smaller in this regard. *What the add in thickness they take away in width.

There is no way you can make your Ibanez-style neck like a wolfgang. *You'd have to do so much cutting and rebuilding that you could buy 3 wolfgangs by the time you were done.

Warmoth can only make you a neck if it is a Strat replacement. *ALL of their necks are built around the strat neck/body style.

Modifying A Neck

A Fernandes LS-38 2000 model

Bought here in Japan so don't know if they are sold in US. Anyway it has a Les Paul body shape and headstock, and 22 frets. I know none of that probably helps but I'm going to jump over to the website(if they have one and see if I can find anything on exact specs for the neck) Thanks!

Here are the measurements on the neck straight from the Japanese Fernandes 2000 catalog:

Rosewood fingerboard, 22F, 350R

Thanks for any help you all can give me!
