My new baby: I don't know the model !! Help!! (pics inside!)

Hi everyone ! !! This is a guitar I bought from my drummer for the fantastic price of 25 euros (approximately 20 dollars !!!), but only for the fact that the old trem was not alligned with the neck. The pickguard was black and the pickup configuration was H-s-s and the bridge humbucker was splittable too !

I throwed away the old pickguard and did this one by myself, choosing the h-s config, so I put a V2 (but I'm going for a paf pro) in the bridge position and an S1 in the neck. the sound is so beautiful I can hardly explain, very "fender-like".

The bridge is an original fender vintage trem.

The problem is i don't know the model: can you help me? I think it's a roadstar and the date is 1987 but the neck is completely different (It has a bubinga strip). The headstock doesn't match with the roadstar type!

Can you help me find what model is this? Thanx in advance !!![/img]

Could be a very late Roadstar II, but the cutaways don't look quite right. It could just be a mongrel of some kind. Do you have photos of the back?

neck looks like an RX neck. 21 fret, straight headstock, and that little thing that pulls the high E and B strings close to the headstock

I dunno what to make of it...

I have a Roadstar RG100 from '87 though, you can copare if you want.

So you can get an idea of its shape... seems like it's about the same era, definitely...

There are similarities with the neck but the body shape is completely different. it reminds me of the fender body shape.

thanz for the clues but I think the only solution will be the removal of the neck to read what is written under its base...

Stay tuned...
