New guitar NEED HELP! S540 LTD

The Story: I went to a guitar store 2 days ago and spotted this S540 LTD hanging there. I played it for an hour and my dad suggested "hey why don't you trade your Jem555BK for this guitar?" after I mentioned I really liked this instrument. I thought it was good and the deal went down. My Jem555BK + $40 (Canadian) for a S540 LTD.

The Problem: I COMPLETELY disassembled every part of the guitar, cleaned and set everything back up. Before I did this, the first thing I noticed was that the trem action had a little dead spot where it was harder to move. I quickly realized that this guitar had a tremsetter which i've always wanted. I opened it and found it and when it came to to finalize the setup after disasselbing it, I couldn't put it back together properly.

By the way, I was comparing the specs to the 1995 Ibanez catalog. My LTD says sutom made on the 21st fret, has IBZUSA f1 and f2 pickups and a diff middle pickup, and a few other differences. It has an Edge and no a Lo Pro.

sorry YVT,
can't really help you, i wish to know how to properly setup a BackStop, since i've got one on my '87 Radius...

but please, tell me this: did you father really call your guitar 'the Jem555', or he simply called it 'your current guitar'? in the 1st case... your daddy rules!

He said Jem555.
It wasn't my current guitar at all. I also havea Jem7VWH and a pre Vai RG.

I still need to know how to properly set up that tremsetter. It's the only thing keeping me from setting it up. I don't want the bridge to be free floating right now. I want some tension on it.

I want tension for both pulling up and diving. For some reason the screw holes won't line up with the tremsetter holes when it is lying down flat. Only when it is up on the ridge on an angle.
