New look for an old RG

I've had this RG since I was a teenager some 20 years ago. It started as an RG 350DX white. From then it has been stickered, sanded, fail swirled, and repainted. I swapped the neck out with one from a RG450 last year, it has had all kinds of different pickguards on it and a few different bridges...

One of the reasons I was originally drawn to Ibbys was the pickguard, I just thought hey were badass. Since I'm a bridge pickup player 95% of the time, I thought I'd cut a single humbucker pickguard and try it out. I have a Super Distortion in there and the trem blocked, 1 volume.

The horn on the lower bout looks a little off.... The pickguard looks right, but the horn looks like it's too wide and a little too long or something...

Anyway the pickguard looks pretty good man nice job...

Yep.. I fudged the tip on the router a bit.. so I sanded it smooth and left it. I figured meh, nobody will notice.

I love the maple neck and the simplicity. I might do a bridge humbucker and a neck single with a blend pot for simplicity. MMM... next time.

Looks great.
