No guitar tech is going to release tension before making adjustments
Think about it. 99% of guitar techs, do you think they are going to bother to release of the string let alone springs to adjust the action and bridge?
They don't. With so many guitars they have to work on, they don't do that, except only a few odd techs
Supposedly, when you adjust with tension it "kills the knife edges", yet most techs don't bother doing this, why?
especially considering that not all guitars have good Floyd roses like the original edge which supposedly you can adjust action without releasing the tension, even the admin of this forum said so, with a good floyd, you'd be fine, but not every guitar that comes in has a good floating system

if you want to (for no reason) just pop off the springs then bridge takes 30-seconds (but of course and risk of scratches, damages, etc.).

Fowleri, the only things you have managed to prove categorically since joining this site is that you know next to nothing about how a guitar is maintained and set up, that you are unable to tell a good "tech" from a bad one, and you are unwilling to listen to advice. I therefore find your post surprising.

It all depends on the type of metal used on the tremolo. With good hardened steel, it's not necessary. With cheaper tremolos, the knife edges don't last long, and adjusting them with tension, is more likely to do some damage, possibly making them never come back to zero again.
