As some of you who like to play 10s would know 3 springs are not always enough to balance the bridge.
If you get brand new short 37mm springs you can get away with 3 but I like spongy well used springs so buying new ones is not really an option for me.
Anyway my main question is when the widely discussed Tremol-No becomes available If I decide to install one on, can I just have the springs like that
I had them in III I configuration
for about 2-3 hours last night and after a lot of jamming, pulling up, down and playing with the trem I didn't notice any change in feel or stability but I'm worried that prolonged unbalanced push against 1 trem anchor will tilt it or loosen it over time.
I have absolutely no idea what the engineering implications are or the long term effects so this is mainly for Max (caprile) and Rich (trem guru
) but if any of you other dudes think you shed some light on this, feel free to answer.
p.s. After playing with the guitar for around 3 hours I did put the springs back
