OFR Chrome or BLACK differences

Just wondering......THEY say teh Chrome OFR has a brighter tone than the Black OFR.
IS there really a difference in tone?

I heard robin crosby say the chrome ones sounded better it's probably a very subtle difference...

Black ones make your tone darker while chrome makes it brighter DUH! I don't think you will hear a difference. Look at the Traben basses, they had to add a crapton of weight to the bridge to make a noticeable difference in tone. A little coating won't affect it THAT much.
