I've been reading the forums for a while but this will be my first post, so here goes:
I have a stock '99 Jem7DBK, and recently the bridge pickup died out on me. The neck and single pickups are working fine, but when the pickup switch is in the bridge pickup position, there isn't any sound unless I crank my amp's volume to max, in which case then I hear a very faint sound.
When I have the switch on the bridge pickup and middle pickup in parallel, it sounds just as if the middle pickup is working alone.
I haven't taken a look at the electronics yet because I just put on a new pack of strings and don't want to waste them, but I'll open the puppy up before the next string change. I think I'm capable of handling any minor fixes but any inputs/ideas of what might be wrong would be greatly appreciated before I take a go at it.
Also, the pots have become rather scratchy, and I plan on replacing them in the near future. Not sure if the two problems are related, but had to point it out just in case.
Anyways, thanks in advance for any help
