Pots and selector

Hey all. Just a quick question, I just got new pickups, an evolution bridge and neck and a HS-3 single. I am going to use" i hope" the five way selector and pots from my 350dx, will it work for these pups or will i need a special one to make the single noise free. Also whats the diference between 250k and 500k pots. thanks chef21
