problem with licensed floyd rose

hi,
I've got a jackson performer fitted with a licensed floyd rose.
The problem is that the 'nut' in which the tremelo arm screws in gets loose. It starts moving in its place if I move the tremelo arm.It comes out pretty easily if I try to unscrew it .
It's only my first year playing with a floating bridge type guitar.
I've tried putting nail polish and screwing it in or wrapping string or something around the grooves to make the nut fit in tight but it just comes loose.
Should I buy a new tremelo arm ? should I just change the full tremelo system ? Please help.
Thanks.

sad to be said but, i really think you better get an original Floyd Rose trem. your Jackson's got a cheap Floyd licensed, not even a Schaller-made one, and any efforts and tricks you'll do on that thing will be hopelessly useless.

you can find some original Floyds on ebay for relatively cheap, i guess, and it will fit perfectly your Jackson' trem's cavity. or you can even get an Ibanez Edge, but it may need some filing to fit the cavity.

hi,

If i undestand the problem, the same thing goes for a OFR, i have one and i know...put some "teflon" tape around the screw..the same you use in the water pipes in repairs..and that should help..it sure helps me..

"Teflon" is the word in Spanish..but i think is the same in English..right?

cheers

it all depends on what tremolo you got in your Jackson. if it's a Schaller-made Floyd, then ok, try with the teflon stuff, but if it's a Takeuchi-made or some Korean-made TRS-like crap, then, no hopes.
