Quick, Simple Question

I looked around in the FAQ and did some searches, but couldn't find what I was looking for... size of the allen key for truss rod adjustment of older RG guitars (in this case, it's a ****ty 270)? Metric or imperial? My 4mm didn't fit that well, I noticed...

Hmmm, that's the thing... I've never seen or heard of a 4.5 mm allen key, so if what you're saying is right (it's metric, not imperial) it might just be that the goddamn thing is stripped, and I'm crud all out of luck?

I would think it odd for the truss rod adjustment bolt thing to be stripped out?
The only Ibanez I have with the allen headed truss rod thing is my old XV500 from '85 and it's a 4mm. So I would say you're screwed, unless you can cram something else in there.

Dude Ill go look tonight. As i recall mine actually came with the proper size, but I just so happen to have a mongrel 270 at home. IF your the original owner and have never used the thing whats the big deal? It cant be stripped if thats the case these things DEFINITIELY dont leave the factory stripped even with korean quality control
