Rebuilding A Guitar In search of Proper Parts

Alright! So let's start this off with a bit of back history. This particular guitar was bought by my Dad in mid 90's and in the early 2000's my mom threw it out of our 2nd story house window and completely butchered the neck so for some reason he kept the body(he says it's that one guitar that when you first play it everything felt right. The Body, the action, intonation, the arch in the neck. Just everything was perfect.

So for the past couple months I've been trying to rebuild it with the proper parts( aside from the pickups. I put some seymour duncans in it) but I've been looking through old catalogs and have decided that I'm pretty sure it's a 1989-1991 RG750. I'm just having trouble finding the proper neck for it and haven't found anything right now I have this cheap rx series on it. and while I'm at it I have this series of number on the metal plate the hold the bolt through neck. the numbers are 8911915 do any of you know what that means?

First, Welcome to Jemsite Chief!!!!

Next:

Something doesnt add up....... I'm sure we can nail it down. Does the metal neck plate say anything on it other than the serial #?

all 1998 guitars had and AANJ neck joint. These joints didn't have a metal plate that held them together.

Do you maybe have a link to some pics?

Ryc

FWIW, I have a couple RG7xx necks around the house, but I'm not sure that's what you really need.

Re: Rebuilding A Guitar In search of Proper Parts

I hope photos help out in some way I did abit more snooping but farther I went into the catalogs I couldn't anything similar. I know the original color was like a ruby red, and I think it had the shark tooth inlay also if you didn't notice on the headstock it doesn't the newer rg series or rx series next to the check marker in the Ibanez logo, and to answer your earlier question it doesn't have letters before the numbers on the metal plate
