removing superglue stain

Is there anyway that i can remove it? I accidently had a drop on my guitar body. Im thinking of sanding the whole guitar with sandpaper and buff it again. Is there any other way to remove superglue? I tried those nail polish remover but it doesnt work at all

Re: removing superglue stain

Believe it or not.. soap and water works.. (really depends on the super glue though). I've found that some soap and water and lots of elbow grease removes super/krazy glue without screwing up your finish. Acetone also works but it may melt some of your finish along with it.

Oh yeah.. a razor blade also works.. just don't scrap it off, get under it and lift it off.

Re: removing superglue stain

Naptha won't damage the gloss, but it won't get the glue off. You need acetone, and that may damage the surface.
