Repairing Edge Pro/Zero/etc Baseplates

Where I work, we have a serious workshop & technicians.

Given that these baseplates are easy to damage, and awkward/expensive to obtain, I've been wondering if it's worth seeing if we can repair or reproduce them.

Rather than pull a good one off one of my RGs, I wondered if anyone has a damaged one they'd want to get rid of ?

I'm happy to pay reasonable costs. I'm in the UK.

Does this make sense, or is it likely to be doomed to failure ?

Do you have a lot of experience repairing broken cast zinc?

Pretty much the only way to damage an Edge Pro is to drop it. You can strip the lockdown screw threads on the Zero's but you can also Helicoil them fairly cheap.

The Zero is probably the more interesting one.
