Replacement nut for my OLP?

I preferably need a pre-cut nut for my OLP.
The width of the nut is 42mm, and fenders are 43mm, so was wondering if i'd have any problems if i installed a pre-cut fender nut onto it.

hey

Why don't you get one of the new Earvana nuts so you not only get a great nut, but your guitar is in tune the whole way across the board.

You'd have to match the radius, but also the string spacing. With a wider pre-cut nut your E strings could slip off the edge of the frets easier when you're playing, because they'll sit closer to the edge. Pre-cut doesn't really mean exactly that either. It's got grooves in it but they usually aren't angled on a strat style nut. You'll still have to cut them or have someone do it for you. If you just want a quickie, you still should look for a nut with the right string spacing.

Actually i have a bundle of plastic nuts here, I'll go measure them and see if they are the same width ... If they are you can have one ;-)
