Hi all,
Ok, got my second Ibanez Prestige today, its a 1570, with a swirled body from outofthisswirled, Passion and Warfare style, dear god these paint jobs look AMAZING in the flesh! and it has the IBZUSA F1 and F2 pickups
I'm having a bit of weird issue, up to now i'm not very clued up on setting up these trem systems and i'll really need to learn sometime soon, like have someone sit me down and tell me, ok this is how its done!
I've had a Prestige 2550 with the Edge Zero for 4 months and i've only had to fine tune that (going as far as levelling out the fine tuners, loosening the locking nuts, tuning with keys at the top, locking it down and adjusting with the fine tuners in the order of E, E, B, A, G, D, to keep it level and equal) as it was very well set up,
Anyway, the chap who I bought it off had restrung it before he sent it so I had a play this afternoon when it came and it felt AMAZING, seriously, like i've owned it for 20 years, fit, feel, finish, action, intonation 100%
It's obviously dropped its tune throughout the day so I went through the careful fine tuning process as mentioned in the steps above and now it seems the action is a bit higher and I "think" the bridge is leaning towards the body a touch, I'm not too sure as I'm not 100% sure what faults I'm looking for, i'm convinced the action just feels higher tonight than it did this afternoon, like past the 10th fret upwards,
As mentioned I haven't touched anything to do with the Edge Pro, or truss rod and I haven't touched anything to do with the back plate, i've just fine tuned it the same was as I do the Edge Zero on the 2550, and thats always been fine
So, is it possible you can raise the action when your fine tuning?
and
Is it possible to budge the trem into the guitar when your fine tuning?
Whats happened here?
Any help appreciated, thanks
