RG3120 tremolo

I should know this....and I could look it up but I'm at work so I need to be quick....Which tremolo is on my 1998 RG3120 and can I buy a replacement for it? This guitar will not stay in tune if I use the whammy bar and I'm wondering what can be done about it.

Lo pro, but I'll bet there's nothing wrong with it. You probably have a loose nut.

Re: RG3120 tremolo

A loose nut as in "THE" nut? Or a loose nut somewhere? Either way, I'll check it out. Thanks!

I've definitely seen a guitar with a perfectly tight nut still have tuning stability problems due to the bridge. If the nut doesn't solve the problem, I'd recommend replacing the trem studs to see if that solves the problem.

Re: RG3120 tremolo

Okay, so one of the bolts that hold the nut was loose. Good call, Rich.
Put new string on, tightened the bolt, cleaned her up. Going to set the intonation tomorrow, but everything seems to be fine so far.
