Re: S5EX1 project

Very nice man! The black pickup rings actually made a huge difference and really set off the body perfectly.... great job!!!

Re: S5EX1 project

I have the similar model with the smokey maple top. I was wondering if the neck that you replaced or put on has the dreaded non-symmetrical contour on the backside of the neck. Some such as mine were that way... terrible to play on. If the neck you put on has a smaller radius, I'd like to get the same. I'm having a difficult time knowing which era RG neck to get.

You should probably start a new thread giving all the details of your guitar. You can link to this thread for reference, but with all the variation in body and neck dimensions over the years your better off starting on a "fresh page"....

Re: S5EX1 project

It did not have an asymmetrical neck. Just a standard RG Prestige neck. 2010 model.
