Sitting guitar with broken strings

What if you leave you guitar with a broken high e string (or any string) for a while. Will the other strings put too much stress on the neck and warp it?

You forgot to eat your cornflakes for breakfast. I you break a string then that leaves less string tension on the neck

I know, but it is then uneven tension when you break a string. I was thinking it might be pulling on the neck more on one side, right? Maybe not enough to hurt it though i guess.

Fry, you could always send the guitar to me. I'd be happy to keep a full set of strings on it!

Seriously, though, I can't imagine that the neck would be permanently pulled or warped by leaving off some strings.

Uh... right... um, no thanks. Of course, if that's the case, why are you worried about it in the first place?

It's not going to hurt a thing.

Guitars are a lot tougher than people give them credit for.

Just look at what we do to them using a FR trem . . . you drop the bar and almost ALL of the tension is released from the neck, and quite quickly, then you bring it back up, sometimes fast, sometimes way higher than standard tuning when you pull up, and the thing 99999 times out of 100000 will come back right where it started.

I was only joking about the squire. I actually was only concerned because I broke a string on my jem, and was too lazy to restring it before I went to bed. Then all night, I thought of horrible things that could happen to the neck and what not. I am just paranoid. Thanks for the input!
