Swap E and B saddles?

Looking down my Ibanez 7 string with a floating trem. I can see (what seems to me) a very large height difference between my low B and my low E string. The low B string sits 1mm LOWER than the E at the saddle.

I understand that each saddle on a trem is a different height to match fretboard radius. But could swapping my low b and low e saddles be beneficial?

Could doing this be detrimental in any way or does it sound like a good idea?

The Edge type tremolo baseplates are staggered, and the saddles are all the same height. Probably won't get any difference.

Re: Swap E and B saddles?

Thankyou for this thats a helpful response! So perhaps actually shimming the B saddle would be the way to go to get it raised? x

You can get saddle shims to raise them up.

Definitely shim if you feel the need to raise it. Don't waste money on buying shims though. Make some from an old soft drink can, sand paper can work quite well too. I use emery paper to make my shims.
