Trem blocking

Hey im wondering how would i go about locking a floating trem so it has more tuning stablitiy. I really love the fact i dont have to tune for lie weeks on end with a floyd rose but i do hate how i can go out of tune if a string breaks or th tension on on string effect all the others. A solutution that will be under $100 and minamal damage (screw holes etc etc) would be great.

cheers

Re: Trem blocking

This should do the trick:

http://www.tremol-no.com/

Should cost about $60. It isn't available to buy yet, but the word is that it's should be soon. But then, we've been hearing that for months now.

If you're looking for better trem stability, try the Hipshot tremol-no or the Ibanez backstop(if you can find one) or an ESP arming adjuster(set it to high tension).

Alternatively, the CHEAP route of doing it is just to wedge a block of wood behind your trem block.

Re: Trem blocking

When I blocked my ZR I took two pieces of wood, cut and shaped them so they would fit snug and placed one on each side of the bridge, that puppy don't go anywhere now.
