I use a green brillo pad with some lemon oil, then wipe the extra of with a rag.

That stuff from Ibanez Rules is the way to go. It's pretty much what Dan Erlewine does and it works 100% for me. I use Dr. Duck's Ax Wax instead of Bore Oil but largely because I the shop I work at sells it cheap and I get a discount.
