Why does tuning go sharp insted of flat?

On my JEM's that is. When I take one out of case after month or so, the tuning is always sharp, not flat as I'd excpect.

Is it an original Edge or lo-pro? My guess would be that when the case is closed it forces the trem down causing the strings to go sharp (like a pull-up) and since springs have memory, it would take time to go back to neutral. Next time it's cased, take it out, check the tuning and then let it sit for a while and see if it slowly returns to neutral.

How's that SZ treating you?

They're both lo-pro's and I guess you're right. Also could it be neck slightly bending while in case?

SZ is just great

It's summer, it's hotter with more humidity. Guitar swells, goes sharp.

You ain't kiddin'! It seems like all I'm doing in the last few warm days is tuning.

I thought that too, but it didn't see like a seasonal problem described, but more like every time it's cased(?)

That used to happen to me, and I stopped casing 'em and just leave them on a stand or rack, um, so they swell up with humidity!

leaving them in a stock environment is a good idea as opposed to moving them back and forth. It would be a good idea to check my acoustics while im thinking of that by the way.
