I totally agree with you.

I liked the RGT220 too, it had a natural finish. Gorgeous machines.

Indeed..

I just don't get it..why they removed it from prod..
You can't make me belive they didn't sell?

Whomever guitarplayer I met, they went like icecubes in the dessert.
Hope they bring it back.. I really love the deep dark flames too..

I'd be happy if they had any high end neck-through guitar nowadays!

I had an RGT220 CAH for a while. It's the only guitar I've owned that I spent as much time admiring as I did playing. It even smelled good lol. Had to sell it out of desperation..:/

Remember, Ibanez is kinda like Sega these days for video games. It's not about the fans. They could care less what we want or what we complain about. It's all and only about the almighty dollar/euro/yen. Take what the give and like it and sometimes they'll throw you a minor bone that they really didn't have to do any work to reproduce but making you believe they still give a flying f**k about you. (RG550/Sega Dreamcast Collection (which was all PC ports anyways.))

If it had sold in significant numbers, they'd still be making it. You also have to remember that JEMsite is a small but very vocal and opinionated bunch of guys. Most kids these days are extremely happy with an RG370 in black.

Me? I'm looking for another JEM77GMC because the three times I've splashed a few thousand on one hasn't been enough... I can't beleive they didn't sell. All 366 of them...

I have to (somewhat) disagree. The guitar market has been flooded with new companies and new models that just weren't available 10-15 years ago (which corresponds to Ibanez's heyday) Your absolutely right that its all about the money, but guitar companies in general HAVE to constantly produce what the consumer's (us) are looking for. It's the ONLY way to remain viable in a market that has more competitor's than fast food (I'm only assuming that's true)

I see the new "premiums" as the first guitars that Ibanez has put out in a long time that seem to be a "player request" type of guitar. If sales are good.... the "Premium" line will continue, and more than likely expand. If they don't do well, they'll be trash canned and something "new" will come out. Then ALL of the "premium" fans will have something to bitch about. Just like you and I do for our past favorite guitars that were discontinued. Mine is the RGT3120.........

I think the only way to pacify the loyal (old) Ibanez customers is to have a full service custom shop available to the public. To me that seems to be a great idea, but obviously it's not something Ibanez sees as being a profitable possibility. I'd have to (reluctantly) agree with them after seeing so many "custom Ibanez" makers going out of business after only a couple of years.

I'd have to agree with the OP, one of the nicest looking Ibanezes ever.

Re: Guys, you need to bring back the RGT320Q RBB

Amazing looking guitars, but also pretty pricey, so not a huge surprise that it didn't last.

That's why when I saw this beauty come up for sale about a year ago, I snapped it right up
