I'm talking about a simple ibanez prestige, lets take for example, one ibanez 2550.

You have to add design costs, ad cost, etc etc too.

There is probably a significant mark up on the higher-end models, especially signature models. Much of the process is automated, so the cost per guitar is reduced as several are made. There are still many costs associated with getting a guitar to the consumer relative to profit from sales and it is unlikely that many people in the general public would know that information.

Ibanez has to produce guitars at a price that they can sell to the distributors and make money, after all the costs they incur as a business. The distributor has to make a profit after paying import duties, advertising, etc. and then sell to the dealer so that the dealer can make money. The dealer has to mark it up enough to make enough money to make a living, after they pay all their expenses. There are a lot of people that have to get paid on that long trail.

I just like to know what 1 guitar costs to build + all the expensives FOR ibanez :-)

To answer your question, that type of information is normally not available to the public from a manufacturer.

They likely cost half wholesale of what they cost retail, all things considered.

Its a pretty complicated question, you are dealing with economies of scale, bulk pricing of materials, and many other variables. It also obviously depends on the total number of guitars produced, as the more they make the less cost per average unit produced.

Let's see... for a typical Prestige RG1570, I'd say $50 for the neck and another $50 for the body, and finally another $100 for all the hardware and hardcase and this should give you an idea.

I have a few friends in the business. let's say what retails for 1000 bucks only costs them around 250 dollars. Of course there are minimum orders to deal with as well and it's not like they are all bought as soon as they come in, but it is what it is.
