Re: I think the folks at Ibanez deserve a big round of applause

Well, Ibanez IS going into the right direction, with more colors and variety, they need to keep going with more options. Like the 80's and early 90's. More Vibrant Colors. More Maple necks. More of those "Picture/ Decal" or what ever you call them guitars. (Me finding a Necromancer's Castle would be a total nerdgasm for me. http://www.ibanezrules.com/catalogs/...scan0011_1.jpg )
Thats why I see so many people switching to Jackson, because they offer these options. If Ibanez wants to survive, I believe they need to offer more.

Re: I think the folks at Ibanez deserve a big round of applause

Ibanez might deserve a round of applause for their cheap RG4XX and lower series RG's, Artcores, X-series, and the 20th ann. RG550's. There is some original stuff there, and the RG550s are super nice. Even with the old neck joint.

They deserve nothing but boos and hisses for the lack of ANYTHING in the MIJ Prestige RG family. I'm talking about REGULAR production models, the RG550s AREN'T included. There are only FOUR, MIJ, bolt-on neck, 6-string Rg's now. NO maple fingerboards, NO reverse headstocks, NO hardtails, Same as NO finish options, NO locking studs, NO color matched headstocks, NO Body material choices (swamp ash, mahogany, alder, etc.) NO CHOICE, NO CHOICE, NO CHOICE. It's absolutely pathetic, more proof that Ibanez really doesn't care about us in the upper-mid range guitar market. --Jason

I'm with him ^^^.

No maple, no colours, no choice. No point. When a 20 year old design (RG550 20th) is the most desirable and talked about thing in the 2007 range, something must be kinda wrong.

Wow. When you put it like that, it's pretty unbelievable, really.
