Re: Ibanez' Aversion to Maple Fingerboards

Yeah, maple fretboards offered in more models would be awesome!!!

Tak, it would be so awesome if Ibanez made a modern RG565 with couple of changes compared to the original; Edge Pro with locking studs, AANJ and white color w. matching headstock.

Original:

New one (neck has been changed b/c headstock isn't reversed but one can see how amazing white color looks like in this model):

Re: Ibanez' Aversion to Maple Fingerboards

I may be in the minority, but I actually prefer a rosewood board. Both in sound and feel. Kinda odd that my main guitar is a maple board 550, but I bought what was available when my other guitar broke.

The sound of roseboard is nice. But I like maple a bit more. It's best to have both oh.

However In nothing beats Ebony imo. Ebony sounds great and feels awesome.

Yeah but if it was white I'd want a ebony board with mop inlays

I want to see Ibanez release the Dave Weiner (DW) model. That would be a nice seven sting maple board IMO.

I'd love to see a 7 string maple from Ibby. My friend has a 7 string carvin with maple and it sounds fantastic.

Why is it that Americans always have to base things on their own country?? Anyone from outside the US (me included) would generally be discussing WORLD wide production numbers, and yet it always comes back to the US-only numbers. *shrug*

Do Americans know how annoying that kind of tendency is for the rest of us?
