Angry Ibanez USA's reckoning of time...

The good folks at Ibanez USA certainly have an interesting reckoning of time.

Example, you click on the "store" link at the official site, and here's what it says,

...and it's said that for at least the last three weeks.

Also, I ordered a 1527 from my preferred dealer a few weeks ago, and they had to special-order the guitar from Ibanez. I was told by my rep that HE was told by Ibanez that the guitar would be ready "within a week".

I'm starting to think that Ibanez has somehow interchanged the word "month" with "week".

Seriously, Ibanez...what gives? You're more reliable than that, aren't you?

order delays are pretty common on everything you order, be it a car or a guitar. i once waited 8 months for a book from Amaz*n. i don't think some delay in YOUR own order will ever turn a global brand like Ibanez into an unreliable one. they aren't there for you only, but for tens of thousands people, and these cases, things start to get slower sometimes. it happens, period. and about the website problem, i guess it would most likely be some web designer's fault, rather than Ibanez chiefs directly. i think they don't even know about. and frankly, who cares?

HUSA is in the middle of a computer system changeover that was supposed to be done over the weekend, 3 weeks ago. It's still not done, they're in the middle of using 2 different systems and neither are working right. Who knows how long it will be before IT works out all the kinks, but I'm in the same boat you are with several orders.

Re: Ibanez USA's reckoning of time...

Interestingly/sadly enough, I literally just received word from my dealer that Ibanez just slapped another "4 to 6 weeks...at least" onto the wait time.

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmCancelled.

I'll just get it from someone who has it in stock.
