Question Neck too flexable? Can this be fixed?

Hello. I will start by saying that your jem70v is the most fun that I have had with a new guitar. Thank you for making a jem I could afford. Now for my question. When I play I keep changing the pitch by resting my right arm against the body. I have placed a backstop block of wood to hold the trem steady when I play blues but the pitch still shifts. I then realized that I accidently bend the neck backwards when I play.
Any advice is welcome.
Thank you for your time.

1st time I've heard of this problem! aside from lightening your grip, I don't know what else to say, unless your neck screws are loose. I'd check them,

Thanks for your reply. I will check the screws. I can not loosen my grip. I play very forcefully and over bend so I hope that the neck can be adjusted to take the punishment. I mean Steve Vai is playing very forcefully himself

Have you checked that the saddles where you lock the strings on the trem are not moving forward when you over bend? Especially if it's new guitar the screws may not be tightened properly. Could also be the neck screws as said. Your right jems are able to take a beating though I would try lightening your grip if you can. Also Steve has said he plays very lightly except when he abuses the hell outta his whammy bar.

Re: Neck too flexable? Can this be fixed?

Thank you so very much for the link. I love the guitar but upon inspection I can see a gap where the neck joins the body. I guess this is bad news for me. I will have a professional check it but it looks like I was unlucky. I will get a new one if it is a manufacturing flaw because I love playing it. Thans again.

A question for you. If the neck cavity is fawlty, can this be fixed or do I have to get a new guitar?

Lightbulb Re: Neck too flexable? Can this be fixed?

I got it back. It is much better. More stable. Here is the explanation.
The paint job on the body was fawlty. Paint had leaked onto the contact surface between the neck and the body and caused a small bulge. The tech carefully sanded the paint away and re-atached the neck. Now it fits better. Thank the gods!
