So Ibanez just keeps churning out new models with the vine no matter what. The only happy exception is Ikebe j-custom HRG7/2012 , but there's no 7-string.

Great idea with semicustomshop, just add a limited run for us lefties.
But please do some markering so that we that are interested can get a chance to order those leftyguitars.

This thread has stopped (or never really started) being a petition to Ibanez and has become another "I want my favourie guitar from the custom shop please" thread. Thus I've de stickied it, if there's sufficient interest in the thread, it will keep itself going.

The only J-custom i am willing to pay the bucks for would be a Custom 540PII.

Dots on J-Customs for the first time in 6 years. At least we have some choice. They need to add the option to the 7-string line-up now.

If they have, they've probably noticed that there are at least as many comments in favour of the vines in that thread as there are those saying they'd prefer other inlays.

I would suggest that Ibanez has plenty of experience understanding the guitar market, they have folks whose job it is to understand what actually sells in the stores rather than what overly vocal individuals post about on internet forums.

It's great that you feel passionately about this, but you've said your piece, time to move on...

If i can get a UV7PBK in trans white with quilted maple top, birds eye maple board, LoPro7 in chrome,clear pickguard with Dactivators....i'd be over the moon

That'd be quite logical to cater to both of these groups, not just the vine lovers then.

As to Ibanez, adding more models with different fingerboard patterns (which they did) is more of a "Moving on" than being stuck with the vine as the only option for 6 years on end, isn't it?

I've never understood that there's no Ibanez Custom Shop.

I mean this would have to be a bonanza for the company, wouldn't it?

I have at least 8 guitars and basses in mind that I'd like to order...

Maybe there's a saboteur in the management
