Re: A Prestige/Tele

Yep, I'm looking for tele tone.

Here's what I've done so far. I put a tele neck pickup in and a SPH90 in the bridge. The ryth is the middle pos and the solo is the tele neck pickup, till the end when I switch to the SPH90 for a measure or two.
My intention next is to put a Timmons bridge pickup and a tele neck pup in my 2620

...or this?

That 1st one would be PERFECT. If it came with the single space routes for the original Tele pups.

Re: A Prestige/Tele

You aren't going to get "PERFECT" tele tone out of a guitar that has a Floyd Rose...

Yeah...was just thinking the same thing.

The expected tele tone we assume you're looking for is a result of the angle of pickups, pickup itself, bridge, placement etc.

That pink one won't sound much like one, unless there's some magical "tele tone mod" in that upper horn where there should be a cutaway

You could try A Hamer T51. Flat wide fingerboard 16" I think, shred thin neck.
Swamp ash body. Killer quality.
Plays as fast as any shred guitar. I put an EMG tele set in with a spc
control. Goes from almost piezo clean to fat warm.
