Re: time for the RG560 reissue!!

If they would reissue the 560 I'd snatch one up provided they offer some colors other than red, black, white. (how boring is that)
Heck I joined here just because I was planning on trying to find some 560's in decent condition to buy because I don't like the current offerings from Ibanez and I love the 89' 560 with a red translucent finish I own. I am hoping to find a couple of mint condition 560's.

Good luck finding a "mint" 20+ year old 560, at least one at a reasonable price. We get some in the classifieds once in awhile, and most are in great shape--but not mint. You should have been here for the Carotene Orange barrage, when there were about 4 in there at once...

I know... It won't be a quick ordeal. Mint may be a bit strong.. but I am looking for one with no chips, dings, scratches, etc to the body and with all the orignal parts, little wear on the neck etc... Yeah well Carotene Orange would be awesome. What would you call a reasonable price?

Re: time for the RG560 reissue!!

i remember that. there were quite a few going at one time, I scored one of them during that craziness, but sent it on its way to a fellow jemsiter as a gift. I'm looking daily for another rg560 in CO. great color, great era!

Re: time for the RG560 reissue!!

The Rick Beatty 560PN I got from Jack Secret is about as mint as one can be--one of my best scores here, besides that LNG that will be here soon...

Re: time for the RG560 reissue!!

If Ibby reissued 560's and carotene orange was not an available color, I would go to Japan and burn down the Fujigen factory.

Ok, that may be a bit rash but I certainly would tender my complaint digitally to them.

If they made an RGT560/760 I'd never have a reason to own a Jackson AGAIN!!!!!!

See above.
LMAO!!!

I always considered my Kramer Stryker my first guitar even though it sucked compared to an RG.

I agree. High time to reissue this or bring it back. There are a couple 560 style guitars on the Japan Ibanez site if I'm not mistaken. I have no idea why the 560 did so poorly to begin with. Perhaps it was the metal era the came out in. I bet they'd do better today.

I'll pour the kerosene! Purple Neon or Grape Ice would have to be another MUST color...

Re: time for the RG560 reissue!!

It's been done.... the RG1560 from a year or two ago. It was a limited release for certain retail stores, but you can still find them. "Ibanez RG1560" and Google produced this:

Re: time for the RG560 reissue!!

My brother has a 1988 RG560 in Lipstick Red which he bought brand new in '88. That RG is the best feeling, quickest playing guitar I've ever put my hands on. It handily beats anything else that I've tried since. Fantastic machine.

Yeah but I would like a reissue with the wizard neck of original spec. I believe that (the neck on the reissue) is 2mm wider at the 12th fret and 1mm thicker along the entire length.

That's as much of a reissue as saying the 1570 is a reissued 570, or 1550 a reissued 550. They're just not the same. We're talking about an actual reissue--like the 550 and 770 got.

You're not picky are you?

I thought the 560 always had a non-matching headstock. I thought to get a matching headstock you had to get a 570 (I'm speaking late 80's here). Which added a matching headstock and a humbucker at the neck. I've never played on an edge pro.
