Best Bass player to play with Vai?

Toss up between Stu Hamm ans Billy Sheehan.
Stu Hamms studio work on PAW is immaculate but Sheehans live performances are the best.

Re: Best Bass player to play with Vai?

both being good rock bass players but I would love to see Mr Vai play with the likes of Victor Wooten, Steve Bailey, Marcus Miller, etc etc..

Difference of being a flashy rock bass player and pushing the envelope on the bass..

My 2 cents

What a great DVD they did, Stu Hamm's bass solo takes some beating tho, banjo on the bass. Made me wanna pick up the banjo actually, never did tho.

Billy & Vai work too well together. Chemistry like that is hard to improve upon.

That being said......

A Steve Vai/ Les Claypool show would be interesting.

I'd also pay to see a show with Geddy Lee in the lineup too.
