Best Lick Library DVD's for beginner...??

Hi,

OK, I have just signed up for the lick library membership and now get my free DVD's

Only thing is I am not to sure which ones to choose.

I am a beginner, well not entirely but I want to start right back at the basic's and build from there.

I have changed my right hand technique from what I did years ago when I used to play a little so want to program and hand properly this time.

So I am looking for DVD's with good instruction on right hand technique. Not just, play this over and over type of advice, more detailed on movement of pick/wrist etc.

The same for left hand.

What DVD's do you recommend?? As I only get one chance to choose them I want to get it right.

thanks

The Playing with Modes DVD is fantastic. Really de-mystifies a subject that tends to confuse a lot of beginners. Every solo is broken down nicely, and the DVD includes backing tracks for you try your own or practice theirs. I recommend it to all my students.

Andy James has a DVD called "Speed Soloing" that may be what you are looking for. It starts out with him talking for several minutes on left and right hand technique. The licks he shows start out with alternate picking exercises on one string, so it's not too advanced until later.
