Post Broken thirds exercise

Wanted to share a fun/tricky warmup exercise using the G major scale that I picked up in a lesson the other day. The top line is ascending and the bottom is the same pattern descending. Be sure to keep an eye on your alternate picking. Once you've got this down try moving it to other patterns.

Re: Broken thirds exercise

Oh, and once you're at a good speed on this, play it as triplets to make sure your mind is warmed up too.

Good question! It's a third in need of fixing
All kidding aside, my teacher calls it that because it's basically a third ascending, followed by a third descending with a step up or down in between.
