Pretty cool excersize. Hammer ons from nowhere are tricky for me though.

I've been trying to get into tapped arpeggios like that for a while now but I've never practiced it long enough to get the shapes into my head.

Yes, hammer ons from nowhere can be difficult at first. If you manage to synchronize the movement of the two hands (so that you hammer on the new string exactly the moment when you are finished with the previous string) then you'll be able to gain speed rapidly.
