Circles crazy tapping

Hey, in Cirlces (one of my fave satch songs) I was just wondering if, when he breaks into that crazzy tapping part, does he use the side of a pick to do all those little slides in it? i find that when even i try to slide for too long using my finger (in tapping licks), i cant hear it.

thanks

Satch uses his pick all the fast tapping stuff I've ever seen him do, I've only seen him use his finger for slower stuff (like the bit in Always with you...). So I'm guessin he uses his pick yes
At that speed though you don't always need to phrase it exactly the same way, tap it and use the same arpeggios and it will sound fine.
Personally I prefer using my finger for it.

To my ears tho... a pick tap always gives a much more "trebley" sound... no idea why, it just does for some strange reason....

It does tapping with a pick will sound different than with your finger.
I just prefer my finger
